Every number we publish traces to a primary source or shows its arithmetic inline. When a published claim turns out to be wrong — a figure, a date, a characterization — we correct it in the report, mark the change, and log it on this page with what changed, when, and why. The original wording stays visible in the log.
Softening a claim because the receipt only supports a weaker one is not a correction — that's the method working. A correction is when the receipt didn't say what we said it did.
